NEW ART WILL BE ADDED SOON
Tim knew from an early age that he wanted to be an artist. He grew up in Midland, Michigan, and spent his childhood summers dreaming (and drawing) with his maternal grandparents in Empire, Michigan. Tim graduated from Western Michigan University in 1959. He then spent a year as an elementary art teacher and three years stationed in Okinawa with the Army Security Agency. He then moved to New York City and taught in both The School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design. After a six month stint as an assistant art director at Young & Rubicam, he was invited to join Push Pin Studios. Push Pin Studios is an internationally celebrated illustration and graphic design studio headed by Seymour Chwast and Milton Glaser. After five years he became a freelancer under the studio name of Indelible, Inc. Over the next thirty years his work was published in numerous journals, magazines, newspapers and corporate brochures.
In the summer of 1952 he attended Interlochen with a scholarship from the Michigan Federated Woman's Club. He returned the following year on Interlochen Outstanding Student Award. Tim is standing next to his sister Nancy and his friend Walter Buehler. Some pieces of art on this site is from this era of creativity.
